Important changes to the schedule for the 63rd National Championship.  Please read...

Schedule Changes

Saturday, September 20th:  Arrival of the USBGA Board with the Board Meeting to be held at 7:00 pm.

Sunday, September 21st: Player check in and practice rounds.  A Welcome Reception will be held at 7:00 pm with the Players Meeting to be held at 8:00 pm.

Monday, September 22nd: First round of competition with tee offs starting at 8:30 am.  The Annual General Meeting will be held at 7:00 pm.

Tuesday, September 23rd: Second round of competition with tee offs starting at 8:30 am.  The Awards Banquet will be held at 7:00 pm.

Additional tournament information including applications etc... will be posted on the website in the coming months.  They will also be sent via the USBGA Newsletter.

A Brief Introduction

We appreciate your interest in the sport of blind & visually impaired golf and hope you find the pages of our site informative.  As you explore various pages, you will learn how our members play the game of golf and learn about the special relationship between the players and their coaches.  Our hope is that through our efforts, many more individuals who deal with the loss of sight understand that they truly can play the great game of golf.  Whether learning the game for the first time or attempting to play again after losing some or all of your vision, this is the right place! 

 

Our Mission Statement

The United States Blind Golf Association is organized and operated for the purposes of benefiting blind and vision-impaired persons and promoting the public good through programs that advance, and increase public awareness of golf among the blind and vision-impaired throughout the United States.

 

2008 Financial Campaign

The USBGA has recently launched an initiative for the 2008 season.  The Support Member Campaign Project has been created to assist the Membership in the generation of revenue to continue the mission of providing competitive golf and instruction to those individuals who are blind or visually impaired.  Pleas visit the site for more details...

THE 63RD NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP VENUE IS OFFICIAL!

The Board of the United States Blind Golf Association voted unanimously to approve River Bend Golf Links as the sight for our 63rd National Championship.  The course is located on the grounds of a three casino complex located in Tunica Resorts, Mississippi.  Players will be staying at the Hollywood Casino which is just a chip shot away from the course.  This tournament will offer players a true Scottish links golf experience while staying at a superior entertainment complex.  Details will be released shortly but here are a few bits and pieces...

Players will arrive on September 21st and have the opportunity to play a practice round.  The 22nd and 23rd are the days of competition and departure is the 24th.  Players and coaches who choose to arrive early or stay an extra day will receive an outstanding preferred rate for both golf and hotel accommodations!  The nearest airport is located in Memphis, Tennessee and is approximately 30 miles from the resort.  Please visit the links below to learn more about the facilities.
